The three pillars for sustainable development

Our project is related to one of the implementation of the core mission of the ASORCOM that is to use technology and local wireless communication for collaboration to promote transparency, accountability and responsibility among donors, governments and civil societies and promoting knowledge and skills to local communities for short-term and solving communication bearer among villages in Chin state and international communities and establishing inclusive informal education including knowledge, skills and information sharing in the long-term.

I believe that there are three main pillars of opportunities are required to achieve sustainable development. That is 1. The capability of operation (to capable of what we want to do) 2. The capital of operation (to have financially capable of implementing) 3. Permission to operate (to have the authority to implement).

3. Permission to operate (to have the authority to implement).

The students studies for the capability of operation, the business person working for capital and the politicians have to work for self-determination, authorization to implement the operation. I want these three main pillars to be harmonized in Chin state and Myanmar.

The communication law, broadcasting law are already in placed in Myanmar, therefore, now we can apply for the legal license and work in a proper way, however, law enforcement and the rule of laws are weak in Myanmar. Community media license can be applied without cost but in reality, under table bribery culture is still active everywhere of government offices.

Fortunately, we can select members of parliament who can work together for community development. As more opened up the country more foreign direct investment can join and invest, more international funding agencies can support start-up social enterprises. More technical institutions are accessible, so young enthusiasts can learn skills.

We have done 11 times of short course training on computer and the internet and several awareness speeches to 500 young people..
